Bernie leaves a wife and two sons

     Bernie  was a native of California
and spent most of his working life at
sea. He progressed to becoming a
Chief Engineer and at one time held
this capacity onboard the largest oil
tanker in the world at that time.
He served at sea during World
War 2, and made many dangerous
trips to Europe during that period.
Bernie was a Ham Radio
Operator for around 50 years and
achieved the top rank in this capacity.
There must be thousands of Hams
who were in contact with him while
he was at sea.

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures;
He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the
path of righteousness for his name's sake...
Yea though I walk through the valley of the
shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou
art with me thy rod and thy staff they comfort 
me. Thou preparest a table before me in the 
prtsence of mine enemies; thou anointest my
head with oil; my cup runneth over. Shurly
goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days
of my life; and I will dewll in the house of 
the Lord for ever.
